Merchants from countries other than India can generate UPI Global QR Codes to receive UPI payments.

International merchants should contact their banks to check whather they have tie up with National Payment Corporation of India (NCPI) to receive UPI Payments. If your bank is onboarded for UPI Payments, then you should get UPI ID, your merchant id & your Bank's intitutional ID allotted by NPCI. International Merchants can checks with Indian Banks Branches in their countries to find out if they are support UPI Global Payments?

How to activate International Payments in UPI APP?

  • Open the UPI App
  • Scan International Merchants QR Code.
  • Enter the payment amount in foreign currency
  • Select your desired bank to make UPI payments
  • Tap Activate UPI International to make payment to the international merchant.
Note:
  • Transaction charges apply on international payments.
  • UPI International Activation expires in Seven days, however, you can activate it again with above procedure.
  • UPI Payments can be made in following countries:
    Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanks, Oman, Mauritius, Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan & Hong Kong, France, etc.
